To get the full burn time, trim your wick to ¼ inch before every single light — this is the most important candle care step most people skip. On the very first burn, let the wax pool melt all the way to the edge of the jar before extinguishing. This prevents tunnelling and ensures an even, clean burn every time after that.

Every Even Hour candle contains three things and three things only: 100% natural soy wax made from USA-farmed soybeans, a 100% cotton eco wick that is completely free from lead and zinc, and premium fragrance oils and essential oils sourced in the USA. That is it. No paraffin wax, no phthalates, no synthetic dyes, no petroleum byproducts, no cheap fillers. Soy wax burns at a lower temperature than paraffin, which means a slower, cleaner burn with far less soot and a stronger, more consistent scent throw throughout the life of the candle.

Sunday Still opens with rich, true vanilla bean — not a synthetic sweetness but a warm, rounded vanilla that deepens into tonka bean and settles on a base of whipped cocoa. It smells like a Sunday morning in an unhurried home. Warm and enveloping without being cloying.

Permission to Rest opens with a clean hit of eucalyptus that moves quickly into lavender, then grounds itself in earthy woods at the base. It smells like a spa that also feels like home — fresh but calm, cool but not sharp. The kind of scent that signals to your body that the day is done.

Every Even Hour candle is made to order. Once you place your order, it is produced and shipped within 1 to 2 business days from our New Hampshire production facility. From there, standard US ground shipping takes 2 to 5 business days depending on your location. Most customers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic receive their orders within 3 to 4 days of placing them. West Coast customers should allow 5 to 7 days total. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number the moment your order leaves the facility.

Yes. All US orders over $75 qualify for free standard ground shipping — automatically applied at checkout, no code needed. Orders under $75 are charged standard ground shipping based on your location and order weight, calculated at checkout. A single 9oz candle at $59 is just $16 away from the free shipping threshold, which is another reason the Scent Wardrobe bundle ($99 for both 9oz scents) is such good value — it easily clears the threshold and you get three candles for less than two at full price. We currently ship within the continental United States only.

We will replace it, no questions asked. Every Even Hour candle is individually packaged and inspected before it leaves our facility, but occasionally things happen in transit. If your candle arrives damaged, cracked, or if you received the wrong item, contact us within 14 days of delivery with a photo of the issue and we will send a replacement at no cost to you. We do not ask you to return the damaged item. We do not charge any fees. We simply fix it.

Because our candles are made to order and are a consumable product, we do not accept returns on opened or used candles. However, if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason — not what you expected, scent was different to the description, changed your mind — please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order and we will do our best to make it right. We would rather resolve your issue than leave you with something you are not happy with. Unopened, unused candles may be returned within 14 days for a full refund excluding shipping.

Four rules that make a real difference: First, always trim your wick to ¼ inch before lighting — a longer wick produces a larger, hotter flame that burns through the wax too quickly and creates black soot on the glass. Second, on the first burn, let the entire top layer of wax melt to the edges of the jar. This sets the memory of the candle and prevents tunnelling on every future burn. Third, never burn for more than 4 hours at a time — the jar gets hot and the scent performance actually declines after this point. Fourth, store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can cause the wax to discolour and the fragrance to fade.

Our candles are made with non-toxic, phthalate-free fragrance oils and 100% natural soy wax, which makes them significantly safer than paraffin wax candles, which release petroleum-based toxins when burned. We do not use any synthetic dyes. That said, we always recommend burning candles in a well-ventilated space, on a stable heat-resistant surface, and keeping them out of the direct reach of pets and children. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish before leaving a room or going to sleep. If you have specific concerns about a particular fragrance ingredient and a known pet sensitivity, contact us and we will share the full fragrance composition for the relevant scent.

All production, labelling, quality checking, and shipping is handled in-house by our team. We do not outsource manufacturing overseas. The soy wax is sourced from USA-farmed soybeans. The fragrance oils and essential oils are sourced from USA suppliers.
